Esther Lucille Fleeger

Esther Lucille Fleeger, 88, of Chicora, PA, formerly of Muddy Creek and Butler, died at 11 PM on Sunday, October 24, 2004 at Sunnyview. She was born Monday, January 24, 1916 in Adams Twp., Butler Co., PA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Earla (Hughes) Critchlow. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Through her church service as Sunday School teacher, all of her male students served missions for the church & held leadership positions. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. She had devoted many hours to the Muddycreek & Keister 4-H Clubs as a leader and judge at the Butler Fair & Farm Shows. She also sold Amway & Shaklee Products. She had been a food service worker for the Moniteau School District. She retired from the dietary department of the Butler VA after 21 years of service. Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Jim (Janet Wilson) Leinenbach of Butler, Mrs. Collins (Kay) Cannon of Kearney, MO, Mrs. Gene (Nancy) Herman of Racine, WI and Carol Ann Hubbell of Butler; 14 grandchildren, George & Diana Wilson of Butler, Duff & Pam Turner of W. Jordan, UT, Jeff & Patty Wilson of Kittanning, Wally & Mary Wilson of Butler, George & Kim Patrick of Butler, Gayla Cannon of San Jose, CA, Erik & Cami Cannon of Atlanta, GA, Douglas Cannon of Boston, MA, Scott Cannon of St. Louis, MO, Amy Cannon of Kansas City, MO, Bob & Robin Quam, Michael & Rena Peterson, Regena Herman, all of Racine, WI, Jesse & NaDesha Hubbell of Butler; 16 great grandchildren, LeGrand Wilson of Atlanta, GA, Dacia Wilson of Butler, Mrs. Kurt (Katrina) Trimble, Clifford Turner, Sherston Turner, all of West Jordan, Utah, Andrew, Ashley & Joshua Wilson, Richard Patrick, all of Butler, Mrs. Rob (Melissa) Meeks of Columbus, OH, Robert & Sarah Quam, Nikki Garcia, Erin & Emila Petersen, all of Racine, WI and Addington Hubbell of Butler; 2 great grandsons, Peyton & Samuel Meeks of Columbus, OH; 4 sisters, Goldie Critchlow of Butler, Jane Leinenbach of Butler, Dorie Nicklas of Evans City and Louise Benoit of Evans City. She was preceded in death by a grandson, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Friday at the Young Funeral Home, Ltd., Butler, PA. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 10 AM with Elder Erik Cannon, her grandson officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Burial Estates
