Betty Jean (Elder) Fulk

December 12, 1925 - January 21, 2015

Betty Jean Elder Fulk, 89 of Newhaven Court passed away on January 21, 2015 at VNA Inpatient Hospice. She was born December 12, 1925 in Clarion County, PA to the late Walter George Elder and Bernice Irene (Altman) Elder. She married Boyd W. Fulk on October 26, 1946 in Kane, PA. Betty loved hunting, fishing, traveling, going to the family camp, golfing and other sports. She was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Betty was a member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church, American Legion Post 636 of St. Petersburg (auxiliary), OES #45 Parker, PA and the NRA. She was a volunteer for Butler Meals on Wheels for many years and a long-time member of Lake Arthur Casual Golf League. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter George Elder and her mother Bernice Irene Altman Elder both originally from Clarion County but then long-time residents of Kane, PA; her husband Boyd William Fulk and son-in-law Roy Steinheiser both of Butler and grandson Donald Steinheiser of Naples, Florida. She is survived by her two daughters Donna (Roy) Steinheiser of Butler, PA and Susan (Jerry) Siok of Anchorage, AK; 6 grandchildren - Aaron (Lori) Steinheiser of Butler, Ben Siok of Anchorage, AK, Chris (Sherlynn) of Anchorage, AK, Larry (Donna) Steinheiser of Butler, Terry (Kathy) Steinheiser of Butler, Sharon Steinheiser of Glen Burnie, MD and Sandy (Donald) of Naples, FL; 12 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson Street in Butler on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 2PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 5PM..
