Cathy J. Sheppard, 64, of Butler, PA, formerly of Texas, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Butler Memorial Hospital. She was born January 8, 1951 in Butler, PA, the daughter of the late Paul W. Stewart and Donna (Wonderly) Stewart. Cathy was a member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church. She had been a OR technician at El Paso Colon/Rectal Clinic and also at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. She was a medical office manager and school volunteer. Surviving are her 2 sons, Thomas Stewart Sheppard of El Paso, TX, and Steven James Sheppard of El Paso, TX, her brother, Mark (Judy) Stewart of Chicora, PA, a nephew, Andrew P.(Melissa) Stewart, and a niece, Elizabeth C. Stewart. Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Orthodox Church, 201 Penn Ave., Lyndora, PA 16045 on Tuesday at 11 AM with Father Joseph Wargo officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery.
