Eva Dano, 97, of Butler, fell asleep in the Lord at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 4, 2015. She was born January 4, 1918 in Butler, PA, the daughter of the late Rade and Mildred (Kosovac) Milich. Eva was a member of St. John's the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church. She had worked at Armco during WWII and had been a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, canning and gardening. She loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and doing her crossword puzzles and word searches. She was a devoted mother who gave selflessly to her children and will be deeply missed. Left behind to cherish her memory are her 3 daughters, Paulette (Robert) Hutnick, Stephanie (Dennis Barnette) Dano and Julia (James) Bohin, all of Butler; 3 sons, Robert Dano , Frank T.(Becky) Dano III and Paul Dano, all of Lancaster; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Stella DeLess, Lillian (Clement) Reott and Dorothy (John) Hays, all of Butler; a brother, George (Bonnie) Milich of Butler; 2 sister-in-laws, Matilda Milich and Lucille Milich, both of Butler; a cousin, Helen Jankovich of Butler and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank T. Dano, Jr. who passed away July 12, 2006; her daughter-in-law, Mary J.Dano, wife of Robert J. Dano; 3 sisters, 4 brothers and 3 cousins who were raised with Eva. Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Services will be held at Saint John's Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Father Leo Schlosser officiating. Parastas service will be held Monday at 7 PM. Entombment will follow in the Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the to St. John's the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora, PA 16045 or Catholic Hospice, 2605 Nicholson Rd. Suite 3240, Sewickley, PA 15143-7608. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Father Leo Schlosser, the staff at Catholic Hospice, especially Anna and Trudy and her caregivers Martha, Linda and Deb for their compassionate care and support.
