Evelyn Anthony, 89, of Chicora, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot. She was born March 25, 1925 in , PA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Victoria Winton. Evelyn attended Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a retired private duty nurse where she worked at several hospitals and homes for 20 years. Surviving are her husband, Soldon W. Anthony whom she married January 11, 1943; a daughter, Linda F. Goode of California; and 2 sisters. She was preceded in death by a brother. Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8PM. Services will be held at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11 AM with Rev. Floyd Palmer officiating. Interment in the Butler County Memorial Park.
