Helen N.G. Artman, 84, of Chicora, PA, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Sunnyview Home in Butler, PA. She was born June 16, 1932 in West Sunbury, PA, the daughter of the late Gilbert Claypoole and Daisy (Pisor) Claypoole. Helen was a member of Springdale Lutheran Church. She had been a cook and bar tender at Spillway for 13 1/2 years and also cooked at K of C. Enjoyed bingo, cooking and her cats. Surviving are 3 sons, James Roxberry of West Sunbury, H. Samuel (Deb) Roxberry of West Sunbury, and Kenneth Roxberry of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, 3 daughters, Gene (Joyce) Franceschina of Newark, Delaware, Marjorie Bishop of Kyle, Texas, Valerie Boyd of Butler, 3 step sons, Lawrence Artman of Apollo, Gregory (Kathy) Artman of Elk River, MN, Alexander Artman of Corpus Christi, Texas, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, 4 sisters, Mary Sutton of Slippery Rock, Elsie Smitley of Jackson Center, Nellie (Jim) Shields of Forestville, Polly Stoughton of Chicora. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Artman who died July 23, 2001, 2 brothers, and her daughter in law, Judy Roxberry Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 2-4 & and 7-9 PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday,October 17, 2016 at 1 PM with Rev. Ginger DiTullio officiating. Interment in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation at 60 East 56th St. 8th floor, NY, NY 10022
