Laura Irene Oesterling Miller

Laura Irene Oesterling Miller, 64, of Butler, PA, passed away peacefully Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver, PA, after a long series of health issues. She was born February 18, 1953 in Butler, PA, the daughter of Keith Oesterling, (deceased) and Edith Protzman Oesterling of Butler, PA and Port Richey, FL. Laura was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Cabot, PA, where she sang in the choir. She loved art, coloring, painting and collecting dolls. Laura had a love of children. She was able to teach for a few years and volunteer at Butler Hospital, as well as churches and schools for many more. Surviving along with her mother is her husband, Walter J. Miller of Butler, PA, two sisters, Linda (Greg) Hess of Valencia, PA: Nancy (John) Atwell of Butler, PA; one brother, Bruce (Cheryl) Oesterling of Economy, IN, two brother-in-laws, Edward (Colleen) Miller of Evans City, PA; Paul (Kathy) Miller of Pittsburgh, PA; two sister-in-laws, Connie (Ed) McAuley of Valencia, PA; Lynne (Bob) Pritts of CoCo, FL and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM with Pastor Barry Keurulainen from her church officiating. Private interment will be in the Gruenwald Cemetery, Butler, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver, 1000 Dutch Ridge Road, Tower B, Beaver, PA 15009 or the Mental Health Association, 140 North Elm Street, Butler, PA 16001.
