Orpha Jane "Mickie" Hartsell, 98, of Butler, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Orchards of Saxonburg. She was born October 25, 1923 in Butler, the daughter of the late Carl and Olive (Hindman) Miller. Orpha had worked for a number of years at the Holiday Inn in Butler as a hostess. She had worked at the Butler Community College in the kitchen and was a Butler School District bus driver. Surviving are her five daughters, Karen (Veeg) Griffiths of Lakeland, FL; Rebecca (Michael) Thompson of Butler; Deborah (Ronald) Gregg of Butler; Gail (Edward) Miller of Chicora; Tamara (Owen) Oesterling of Butler; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Stewart Hartsell, who passed away on November 26, 2014 and her brother, Dean Miller. Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Interment will follow in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
