Raymond E. Sarvey, 72, of Butler, PA, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice. He was born May 18, 1944 in Butler, PA, the son of the late Ralph and Beulah (Aggas) Sarvey. Ray was a veteran of US Army during Vietnam War. He had been at Pullman Standard for 18 years and retired from the Butler School District. Surviving are his wife, Deretha (Van Dalsem) Sarvey, a son, Todd Sarvey of Butler, 3 grandsons, Brent Cahall, Mitchel and Matheu Sarvey, sister, Glenna (Robert) Weichey of East Butler, 3 brothers, Ralph Sarvey, Kenneth (Donna) Sarvey, and Delbert Dean (Elsie) Sarvey, of all of Butler. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Sarvey, a sister, Norma Campbell, and 3 brothers, Silas, Vernon and Albert Sarvey. Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be held at the funeral home, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11 AM with Pastor Steve Cort officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler, PA. Military honors at Greenlawn by VFW Post #249, Lyndora Legion Post #778, and Butler Legion Post #117.
