Ronald Joseph Novosel

Ronald Joseph Novosel, 65, of Butler died on September 21, 2015. He was born on April 21, 1950 in Kane the son of the late Joseph Novosel and Norma Hutchison Koza. Ron was raised in McMurray and was a 1968 graduate of Peters Township High school. He was a veteran of the U.S Army who served in Vietnam. He worked for years as a self-employed carpet installer and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan. Ron was known for his great sense of humor, his easy going nature and his non judgmental attitude toward everyone who crossed his path. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 20 years and dedicated his life to helping countless others overcome their struggles with addiction. Surviving are his two sisters, Marian Vaught (Robert) of Nottingham, Susan Koza of Lawrence: Two nephews, Casey Koza of Lawrence, Austin Vaught of Pittsburgh and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his companion Judy Christy, his stepfather Frank Koza and his niece Amelia Vaught. Family and friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson Street, Butler on Saturday October 10, 2015 from 2:00 p.m until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. An interment ceremony will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Monday October 12, 2015 at 9:30 am.
