Robert J. Sutton, age 79, of Butler, PA, died at 12:30 AM on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at his residence. Born Sunday, November 27, 1927 in Butler County, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel Sutton and Helen (Blose) Sutton. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Armco bowling league, Armco Country Club, NRA, Acacia Club, Shrine Luncheon Club, Syria Temple, Victory Lodge 694 F. & A.M., and Marquetry Society. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing and woodworking. He retired from Armco after 40 years in electric repair. Surviving are his wife, Mildred E. "Milly" (Protzman) Sutton whom he married November 22, 1950, 2 daughters, Mrs. Bill (Connie) Nichols of Nixa, MO and Diana Spuhler of Pittsburgh; 2 sons, Dr. James A. and his wife, Cheryl Sutton of Minden, Iowa and Samuel and his wife, MaryAnn Sutton of Butler, 8 grandchildren, Charles, Corey, Aaron, Rebekah, Christy, Sarah, Rachel, and Adam, 2 sisters, Ora "Zip" Schomer of Florida and Peggy McPherson of Butler and a brother, Donald and his wife, Mary Sutton of Carbon Center. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Sutton. Friends will be received at YOUNG Funeral Home from 7-9 on Saturday and from Noon -3 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, May 6, 2007. Services will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 11 AM with Rev. Dr. Alden W. Towberman officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
