Stella A Pensy

Stella A. Pensy, age 89, of New Haven Court, which she called her home for the past five years, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away at 7:30 A.M., Monday April 16, 2007 at her residence. She was born October 28, 1917 in Calumet City, IL. She was the daughter of the late Stephen Kuzdrowski. She was raised by George and Helen Sum. She retired as a clerk from the West Sunbury Post office after 28 years of service. She had also worked at Thompson’s Market and the Spade Shirt Factory. She was a member of the St, Louis Catholic Church, St. Alphonsus Parish. At the church she was a member of the Ladies Guild and was an Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Associated Artists of Butler County. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Donna and Kenneth Bryan of West Sunbury, Patricia and Joseph Baggiano of Sarasota, FL, DeeDee and Michael Newcaster of Butler, one son and his wife, Joseph and Robin Pensy of Orlando, FL. Ten grandchildren Gregory Bryan, Mark Bryan, Chris Lissard, Eric Bryan, Robert Bryan, Mary Lynn Bisone, David Murrman, Jayanne Matthis, Ryan Pensy, and Emily Pensy, twelve great grandchildren, two step brothers, Chester Kuzdrowski of IL and Louis Kuzdrowski of IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Pensy, who died, October 12, 1976 and one brother. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday April 18, 2007 at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main Street, West Sunbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon Thursday April 19, 2007 at St. Louis Catholic Church in West Sunbury, with Father Richard Thompson of the St. Alphonsus Parish officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001, the Associated Artists of Butler County, 344 South Main Street, Butler, Pa 16001, or the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
